Morning Rain!\u00a0 Not that heavy, but enough to postpone our departure until it lessened.\u00a0 It gave me a chance to refill my data Sim card at the Vodafone store before leaving.<\/p>\n

The family that runs Hotel Larry could not have been more hospitable either the night before or this morning.\u00a0 Even though the rain wasn’t that heavy, it was still raining after breakfast.\u00a0 Seeing I was going to walk the three blocks to the Vodafone store they offered to drive us there!\u00a0 The\u00a0 rain was lessening and there were a few small breaks of blue in the sky so we just walked on down.<\/p>\n

Once the data refill was purchased we were off.\u00a0 The rain had stopped and as we walked along the edge of the harbor the sun came out.<\/p>\n

The total distance to Fisterra is only 16 km so this was to be an easy day.<\/p>\n

This hotel is about 5km out of CEE and is right on the beach.\u00a0 The setting is so inviting that someday I’d like to come back and stay here.<\/p>\n

A little over two hours later we rounded the bend and there was Fisterra .\u00a0 The Faro (lighthouse) is barely visible on the point.<\/p>\n

Before reaching Fisterra the path parallels the shore line with the fabulous, and vacant mile long beach.\u00a0 There were not more than 5 people on the whole beach.\u00a0 The path is only about 100 meters from the water.<\/p>\n

About a half mile from Fisterra my shoes went off, and down to the water I went.\u00a0 The water makes my feet look sort of strange, but the water was cool and oh so refreshing.<\/p>\n

The stayed rest of the way to Fisterra was on the sand.\u00a0 Slower going, but soft!\u00a0 Instead of walking back inland to the path.<\/p>\n

We stayed at Hotel Mariquito (another family hotel) where I had stayed 6 months ago.\u00a0 We checked in, had a beer and tapas, took a short nap then went out for an early dinner.\u00a0 We planned on walking to Faro after dinner and watching the sunset at the point.<\/p>\n

The sunset was really special.\u00a0 There were quite a few people on the rocks watching.\u00a0 Even with the people it was quiet as the sun dipped into the ocean.\u00a0 Maybe this slow extinguishing of the sunlight was its own homage to the tranquility of the Camino.<\/p>\n

There were no clouds of this night which results in a boring photo. \u00a0 So below is a more interesting photo of the sunset and rain taken from the lighthouse taken on an earlier visit.<\/p>\n

After the sun went down we walked back to the town, had a glass of wine and turned in.\u00a0 Watching the sunset at Fisterra, after walking for days, has a spiritual feeling and most people seem to sense it.<\/p>\n
