Lalin to\u00a0Banderia<\/p>\n

The next morning we went across the street to a nice little cafe.\u00a0 After a quick bite we headed down the road to find the Camino route markers.<\/p>\n

There is a marker (a yellow arrow) about every 1\/2 km or so on the Camino.\u00a0 We knew we were on the right street heading in the correct direction, but this morning we didn’t see the first marker for about 4 km.<\/p>\n

We did see a sign that said Santiago was only 47 km which confirmed our direction.<\/p>\n

Weather was really nice – sunny with few clouds and into the low 70’s.\u00a0 This was the nicest day so far, even if a touch warm for hiking.\u00a0\u00a0 And the route was actually enjoyable with tree covered paths, and uncrowded country roads.\u00a0 We had left the mud behind us.<\/p>\n

Three hours and 14.5 km later, we entered Silleda.\u00a0 We stopped at a restaurant\/bar that had outdoor tables and chairs for lunch.\u00a0 We enjoyed a beer, and a plate of ham, cheese and bread in the warm sun.\u00a0 We stayed over an hour thoroughly enjoying the food and warmth.<\/p>\n

In the middle of our rest and meal, the German girl from the day before walked up to us.\u00a0 After a greeting she dropped her pack, and ordered a beer.\u00a0 \u00a0She quickly drank about 3\/4 of her beer, then picked up her pack and headed down the street to her aubergue, which had promised a cheap bed.<\/p>\n

Less than 10 minutes later she walked back saying something about 18 euros.\u00a0\u00a0 She wasn’t very happy or talkative at this point.\u00a0 Anyway what we got was there that were no inexpensive beds left at the Aubergue and her option was a private room at higher cost.\u00a0\u00a0 She wasn’t having any of it!\u00a0 Out the door she went and purposefully marched on down the road.\u00a0 We never did see her again.<\/p>\n

After an hour in the sun, just after 3pm, we decided to hoof it on to Bandeira, another 7km.\u00a0 We got nice rooms, had a nice Pilgrim’s meal and ended the day.<\/p>\n
